A couple months ago Mark and I decided to try out Market on South, a vegan, plant based restaurant in downtown Orlando. Market on South encompasses Dixie Dharma and Valhalla Bakery.
Dixie Dharma has a variety of vegan breakfast and lunch items. Mark ordered their Biscuits N’ Gravy which he enjoyed a lot and believed tasted just like (if not better than) actual sausage. After a lot of consideration I went with the Fried Green Tomato sandwich. This was really delicious and filling! I had to bring half home as well as most of my side (macaroni). I cannot wait to go back and Tiki Takos made with Jackfruit.
Valhalla Bakery is just that, a bakery. We shared a Fruity Pebbles Doughnut from there and I really enjoyed the taste. I am not big on doughnuts usually because of how sick I feel after eating something so sugary, but I did not feel sick or bad at all after eating here.
I would look up less busy times to go if you do not plan to take your food to go. Mark and I were able to find seating at a wooden table out front, but people began to rush in after we sat down. It is a small and popular location with some seating inside and out. They also have a garden out back which may be the key to how tasty and fresh their food tastes.
