Here is my menu for the upcoming week. I do not always stick to it, but it is a great planning method to keep on track when sticking to a budget or eating healthy. As I have stated previously, I make all of the dough from scratch and alter most recipes to keep added sugar out (or at least to a minimum).
This week we (Mark and I) shopped at Trader Joes and BJ’s wholesale. We bought some vegetables, salsa, spinach and kale Greek yogurt dip (my favorite!), Pumpkin cookie butter which I cannot wait to try and cookie butter cheesecake from Trade Joes. So far everything I have tried is delicious! We stocked up on some staples for our fridge pantry from BJ’s including King Arthur’s Unbleached Flour, frozen shrimp, banana peppers, baking soda, olive oil, cheese, and more household items and snacks.
While out grocery shopping we decided to try a brunch restaurant in Winter Park which I would recommend to those in the Orlando are or if you visit. It is called CanopyCafe. The restaurant serves a variety of breakfast and lunch items in a cute building off a brick road in Winter Park, Florida. I had eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit you can tell is fresh made with flour remains, while Mark had the biscuits and gravy meal with bacon and hash browns as well as a mimosa each. Everything was fairly inexpensive and delicious!
