Here is my menu for the upcoming week. I do not always stick to it, but it is a great planning method to keep on track when sticking to a budget or eating healthy. As I have stated previously, I make all of the dough from scratch and alter most recipes to keep added sugar out (or at least to a minimum).
This weeks menu is again created on budget as well as on using food we already have (Bacon was BOGO at Publix last week). We did not actually buy a lot this week, but went to multiple grocery stores. This week we bought fruit in bulk from BJ’s Wholesale club along with other household items. We also shopped at Publix for some must have BOGO items and Trader Joe’s. I really enjoy Trader Joe’s inventory as it has a variety of tasty and healthy options. I would love to shop there more often though it is about a 30 minute drive.
Mark and I decided to catch the Sunrise at the beach (Before it gets too cold!) and a late lunch near Trader Joe’s in Winter Park. I cannot wait to try their Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip and Honey Roasted Pumpkin Ravioli, we also purchased the Cookie and Cocoa Swirl Butter (best dessert ever), Potato Tots, and Homestyle Salsa Especial – Medium.
I recently discovered Jet which is a competitor of Amazon. They have some good deals on packaged food, household items, and even deliver fresh produce to certain areas (unfortunately not Orlando). I have purchased some Kettle Jalapeno Chips (for Mark), Temptations Treats (For my cat Princess Delilah), and Cappuccino Larabars (for myself). This site is great with discounts. You receive discounts for opting out of free returns, paying with a debit card, a larger discount for doing both, and buying more of the same item. Along with the discounts, they offer free shipping on first purchase, all purchases over $35 and other promotions. They also off free 2 day shipping on the majority of their products! Their products are already price matched to similar items online, basically if you are busy and on a budget this is the perfect site for you.
