Week of September Fourth 2016

Above is my personal dinner menu for the week.

Planning ahead helps a lot when you are trying to budget, eat healthy, or whatever your goals may be.

I always find time on the weekend to plan meals for the upcoming week. This is convenient when grocery shopping (My usual time is Sunday morning) so you will have all the ingredients needed for the week and are not making multiple shopping trips throughout the week.

Knowing what is for dinner each night can prevent the want to pick up/order food after working 8 hours or a long day at school. It is hard to go home, make a decision (which can take a while in itself!) on dinner with your roommate, significant other, family, etc. then go back out to get ingredients or pick up food. Let’s face it picking up fast food is going to be the quicker option and will make the most sense if you are already hungry.

Overall, following a menu may keep you on your budget, limit decision making time, and get you on your way to a healthy lifestyle.

I personally am more of a pescetarian, so the majority of the proteins found on my menu will be shrimp or fish. I do often add chicken (for my boyfriend) as well.
